Every day thousands of police officers clock in at work ready to serve and protect the community: sadly not all of those officers will still be alive at the end of their shift. In 2017 alone, 128 law enforcement officers were killed in the line of duty.
We at the Bellevue Police Department would like to honor the sacrifices made by our fallen brothers and sisters. That is why we are raising funds to construct a Law Enforcement Memorial at the Bellevue Police Department. The Bellevue Police Memorial will serve as a focal point to enhance the relationship between the Bellevue Police Department and the Citizens of Bellevue, by bringing everyone together to support a common cause.
The granite and bronze statute was designed by local artist John Lajba, Harley J. Earl Trophy and Road to Omaha, and the entire project will cost approximately $ 200,000. We value the hard-earned tax dollars of the citizens, and feel that this money should be used for vital government services. For this reason, this campaign will be funded strictly through fundraising efforts, grants and donations.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
